The Design Process
In order to establish your requirements we will arange a meeting with one of our designers or developers. We can then talk through your target audience, corporate image and aims for the site as well as suggesting how, based on our experience, we feel the site could be developed.
We will then take away these ideas and create a concept design, a basic mock-up of how the site could look. You then have the opportunity to comment on the design and make suggestions before we begin to develop the site.
Your new site will then be developed in a temporary online environment, allowing you to follow progress as closely as you wish and contact us if you have any comments.

Accessibility
We make every effort to ensure the website is as accessible as possible. The following is an overview of some of the steps we take:
- All code is W3C compliant XHTML/CSS.
- We aim to comply with Level Double-A Conformance to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.
- We test both the functionality and appearance of our websites on a range of web browsers including Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 3, Google Chrome and Safari covering 91.3% of the population of Internet users.*
- We test both functionality and appearance in resolutions ranging from 800×600 to 1600×1200.
- There are a number of other steps including the use of table-less designs for layout purposes and all images having alternative descriptions.
This not only ensures the site is accessible to users with disabilities but also enables users to view the site from a range of ever more popular portable devices including mobile phones.

Search Engine Optimisation
All pages will be constructed with search engine optimisation in mind to ensure maximum potential search engine rankings. All content and navigation will be developed in such a way that search engines will easily be able to index the key words and phrases and follow links to the entire site.
We will also provide advice and support for writing content for the site, and even have a content writing service available if you aren’t comfortable or don’t have the time to write it yourself. This way we can ensure your content is optimised in terms of the search keywords you wish to be found under.
