Email Security Update
On the 25th of October we updated our servers to improve security in an effort to reduce the amount of spam email moving through the system. The new security measures are very stringent and will restrict access to authorised connections for outgoing mail when they are fully implemented.
What This Means For You
As an email customer of Ballyhoo you will see less annoying and time-consuming spam email getting through to your inbox.
What You Need To Do
Before the 24th of November 2009 you will need to change your port setting for outgoing mail from 25 to 587. If you do not change this setting you will be unable to connect to the server to send emails after the 24th, however you will still be able to receive mail.
How Do I Do This?
