These are a great way to demonstrate your products or simply share something interesting with your customers. How To Embed A YouTube Video

The following instructions describe how to add a YouTube video to a product description although the same process can be used to embed a video within content pages, category descriptions or wherever you see the text-editing toolbar.

From your Ballyhoo Dashboard go to the Product Manager.

Select the product you would like to add a video to from the Product Title list.

Edit Product

In the Main Description text, the cursor should be located where you want the video to go (i.e. beneath the text, at the start or between lines).

Now click on the Media button in the text-editing toolbar.

Insert/Edit Embedded Media

Ensure Flash is selected as the Type.

Copy and paste the URL of the Youtube video in the File/URL field (you can find the URL in the address bar or on the right-hand side of the YouTube video page). A preview of the video will be shown below.

You can adjust the dimensions of the video to fit within your site. Constrain Proportions must be ticked to ensure the video is scaled proportionately.

Now click Insert.

Edit Product

The video is now part of your description and you can align it however you wish, for example centrally.

Click Save And Close at the bottom of this page to save the video.

The video is now available to view on the product page.
