E-Commerce Support: How To Add A New Product

Adding A New Product
Go to the website Dashboard.
Click on Product Manager in the top navigation bar, then click on Add New Product.
This page is where you will enter all the essential information about your new product.
Basic Information
Enter the Title of the product – this should not be a description but a basic explanation, for example ‘Ladies T-Shirt’.
Enter the Main Description of the product. Be as detailed as you like as this will only be shown on the product’s individual page.
Enter a Brief Description to be shown under the product on the category pages. This should put across the important points outlined in the Main Description but be no longer than 10-15 words.
Ensure Enabled is ticked.
Pricing Information
Enter the Price of the product in figures only. This should also be the price before VAT if applicable.
RRP is optional but include if you are selling the product at a discount price to highlight the difference.
Additional Information
Optionally include the Manufacturer name and/or a Reference code. This is beneficial for customers searching for a specific product.
Tick Feature Product to show the product on the homepage.
Tick For Sale to make the product available for purchase.
Include the product Weight for shipping calculations.
Categories
Choose a Category to list the product under.
Multiple categories can be selected by clicking Add Another Category.
Product Images
Images are uploaded directly from your PC. Click Browse to choose an image (.jpg or .gif).
Images are automatically scaled to fit your site.
You can add as many images as you like by clicking Add Another Image.
Choose a Default image, the one that best represents your product.
Insert
Click Insert to put the product on your site. If you have forgotten to include any information, for example price, the system will not let you proceed and will inform you of what should be rectified.
