Appliance Express and their sister company, Enterprise 2000, wanted to start selling their kitchen appliances and white goods online so they came to us to design and develop two new e-commerce websites. These websites were to be identical in design, use the same product database and be managed from a single admin area.

Ballyhoo built these sites on our e-commerce system, Ballyhoo Commerce. Ballyhoo Commerce was modified to allow both websites to pull information from the system but keep other details, such as orders, seperate.

The bold colour scheme of this website grabs the users’ attention, the relatively simple design then allows the products on sale to take centre stage.

Appliance Express and Enterprise 2000 are two of the largest appliance retailers in Wales and as such have an understandably large product catalogue. They stock all of the major appliance manufacturers and currently have around 800 products for sale online. With such a large amount of data they’ve made good use of the category management available with Ballyhoo Commerce,  allowing their customers to easily find the products they’re looking for. One of the newest features available with the e-commerce system is Search By Manufacturer, a great tool for customers who want to kit out their kitchen exclusively with Smeg appliances, for example.

Ballyhoo Commerce is designed to make your products as visible as possible online. By adding manufacturers’ references when they add a product, Appliance Express and Enterprise 2000 can tap into a market of consumers who really research their purchases and try to find the best deal online.
